“Mind your step, not everyone’s as big as you!”
RM [Yesterday 01/07/18]
Suze and l are very mindful in our garden concerning the wildlife, we have bowls of water placed down in the bushes and on the grass for any passing wildlife, or even the bees who love to be able to take a sip of water whilst pollen gathering. We leave our flowers out for longer so that the bees especially always have something to go to, our grass is left slightly longer so they can thoroughly enjoy the clovers. But Suze and l are environmentally orientated, and not everyone is.
Yesterday’s Suze’s brother came around with his wife and they trapsed through the garden, and sadly they trod on three bumblebees and killed them whilst they harvested. Sadder still was that they were young bumbles and l spotted one of the tiniest bumbles l have ever seen. I had to utter these words to her brother and his wife yesterday, hence the inclusion today.
My message is quite simple really and perhaps quite selfish, but it’s this – please be mindful where you walk, because not everything is as big as you are. Be forever mindful.
