“Inside, I have a very comfortable life.”

“A tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean called Malta.”

8] How often do you take your 2 leggeds for a walk?
“Once a day.”
9] Do you vary the walks or trek the same route every day?
“My walks are varied, I like to go and explore different parts of the island.”
10] Do your 2 leggeds allow you to talk to other K9’s on your walks or do they huff and puff behind you and urge you to hurry along?
“I like to talk to other K9s at a distance, I can’t cope with over excited over friendly K9s.”
11] Are you allowed to do ‘stuff’ on your walks freely?
“I love to explore freely, I get plenty of time to sniff and investigate new smells. I particularly like time to sniff trees.”
12] Have your 2 leggeds ever embarrassed you? If so how?
“Oh yes! She tried to dress me in Christmas outfits, I am so embarrassed by this I refuse to move!!”
13] Do your 2 leggeds expect you to fetch the ball/toy every time during soft/hard play?
“I love love love my ball. I love racing up and down the hall playing fetch. I also sometimes find it fun to tease my 2 leggeds by refusing to give it back to them.”
“I love my toys!!”
* Do you have favourite toys and if so what are they?
“My favourite toy is called Sally – she is a sheep.”
14] Are you loved every day?
“Oh yes – I am very lucky, I get cuddled and made to feel special every day. I am everything to my 2 legged, she couldn’t do without me.”
15] Do your 2 leggeds take you away on holidays with them?
“I have had a wonderful holiday in Gozo. It was very relaxing.”
16] Do you get to pick where you go if they do?
17] Are you given treats? Too few or just right? What are your favourites?
“There are never enough treats! I do get them, but I have to watch my weight. I do like to help out when my 2 legged cooks, I am always on hand to help clean up with any pieces of veg she happens to drop.”
18] Are you fed a nutritional diet?
“I have a very delicate tummy so I have a good nutritional diet.”
19] Is your food moist or dry or both or even the raw meat diet?
“I have a special dry food.”
20] Do you enjoy it or is it boring?
“I didn’t used to enjoy my food, but now we have found a food I really enjoy and look forward to eating.”
21] Do you eat it every day, or sometimes refuse to?
“Some days I don’t feel like eating and I have to be persuaded, but once I start I could eat all day. If I could get away with it.”
22] Are you allowed to sample your 2 leggeds food?
“Yes as long as it isn’t going to upset my tummy. My 2 legged is always careful.”
23] Do you eat your food when you are expected to, or when you wish to?
“I have set meal times.“
D] Your Personal K9 Stuff
24] Do you have a favourite piece of 2 legged clothing and if so, do they know?
“No not clothing.”
25] Go on be a Devil – tell us what it is ….?
“Towels, oh but I do love towels. I like to roll around on a towel.”
26] Do you deliberately play up at times, just to annoy or worry the 2 leggeds?
“I’m ashamed to say yes. I have a bit of a bad habit of eating tissues and bits of paper, when out walking. I particularly like bus tickets. This upsets my 2 legged, as she doesn’t know how clean these items are.”
27] Do you have a bed?
“I share my bed with my 2 legged.”
28] If so, do you sleep in your bed, or their bed, or the couch or all three and more?
“I also sleep on the couch, on the floor, on a rug, in the car in fact I could sleep anywhere. It’s one of my favourite pastimes.”
29] How much alone time or ‘just you’ time do you have?
“I don’t have much alone time as I don’t like it. It makes me stressed. So when my 2 legged is at work I go and spend the day with her Mum, who loves me just as much as my 2 legged.”
30] Do your 2 leggeds make you dress up?
* For which holiday or festivity is this applicable?
“My 2 legged has tried to dress me up many times. But I am not impressed by this and I think she has finally got the message I don’t do jumpers!”
* Pose for pictures?
“Oh yes I love having my photo taken. I could be a model you know! Just look at this face!”
31] Do you actually enjoy it or simply tolerate it because it appears to please them?
“I really enjoy it. It pleases my 2 legged too.”
32] Do you have a friendly vet?
“Yes she is very nice, I just don’t like sitting in the waiting room.”
33] What would be your perfect day?
“A long lie-in, a bit of brunch, a lovely long walk and then an afternoon spent snoozing actually.”
In spite of everything … the manipulations and the training you must subject them to – are they happy that you are there to mentor for them?
“I think I have trained my 2 legged well, she follows instruction well and always puts me first.”
Finally, in your own words tell us something about both you and your 2 leggeds that the questions haven’t touched on or asked about – something unique …
“Myself and my 2 legged send postcards of me around the world to children who are in hospitals. We hope that the postcard makes them smile. It is good to smile.”
