Question? Is My Blog …

…………. too eclectic?

I write about many topics, because l don’t believe in sticking to one genre because my personality is NOT just one genre. So l do write about principally my life and topics which interest me and in the main l write because l love to write, however l read something recently about blogs being too diverse and thought l would pose the question to my readership.

Please do not misinterpret this question as me looking for pixie dust and glitter to be showered over me, that’s not it. I am not looking for praise and gratuitous compliments, just an answer to the question if possible.

Many thanks,

    1. Top of the morning to you IP, l totally agree with both yours and Forest’s thinking and thoughts – in fact he was probably sitting there thinking about blogs and comparing the chocolates to his first post 🙂

  1. you should go on writing as usual about topics which interest you, that’s what makes your blog and any blog interesting

  2. It’s great! I like not seeing the same stuff all the time. I like writing about different kinds of things myself too!

  3. Honestly I prefer a blog with variety. I like to know about the writer as a person, so please continue with whatever inspires you. I love your blog!☀️

  4. I think it’s perfect just the way it is 😊 I love the variety of topics, your thoughts about them, and your writing style! I always learn something new when I visit here, and that makes it extra fun 😁👍🏼. I agree with the others who said Just Be You 👏🏼. Write about whatever comes to mind, write the way you like, and sleep well knowing your true friends are always here, and we’re interested 💗

    1. Hey Laina, good to see you and thanks for commenting here today. Always appreciated 🙂

You and l both know only too well about the importance of just be who we are 🙂

  5. I think eclecticness (eclecticity?) is a good thing. If there are certain kinds of posts that don’t resonate for a particular reader they can just skip on over to the next one.

    1. Hey Ashley, Good Afternoon or l think Good Morning to you – thank you for commenting.

I also agree, with you we cannot please everyone all the time 🙂

  6. Write about what you are interested in. Readers will always find you. This is the advice my friends have given me when I suggest that I am all over the place. No one reads the same author only, we find different topics, different styles of writing enjoyable. Ignore the nay sayers who insist on a theme. My hope is that others will enjoy what I write but really I write what strikes my fancy. (I apologize though my supply of pixie dust seems to have run out so no sprinkling over you today 🙂 )

    1. Worry not about the lack of pixie dust Jay -lyn, it’s way overrated anyway, and it makes me sneeze 🙂

Thank you however for writing here today, always welcomed 🙂

  7. Absolutely not! Please don’t change. I like variety. I always think of a “niche” as very limiting in a ‘nobody puts baby in a corner’ kind of way ( oooh Patrick Swayze!!)

  8. If you don’t mind me quoting a line from this bloke, “Do what you do because it is not just a question of loving it, but because you cannot think of a day without doing the thing you love – but above all – do everything for you alone….” So much wisdom, I love this guy!
