My sincere thanks and appreciation go to my friend Kat of Family Furore for nominating me for the Mystery Blogger Award.
Kat writes in her blog about a host of differing topics concerning her life, her life with her daughter Jessie and she chronicles her journey as both a carer and a Mother and their journeys together. Together they write of their story. Covering the all important issues of mental health and bipolar. Family Furore principally is a very personal experience from not just one but two perspectives and is totally worth the visit and follow.

3 Things About Me:
People, many a time think l am motivated by human politics, l am not. I am motivated by more pressing matters that have an urgency to them. My ‘politics’ are green for starters and l care about our planet, and how much damage we are doing to it. I have passions and motivations for taboo and stigma related issues. My drive on politics is only on those subjects and for animals.
I struggle hopelessly with written verbosity!
I am not a full on introvert, but l am not an extrovert either. I spend much of my time in a bubble or in vast open spaces, as l can handle people in small doses only and if anything am horribly crowd shy. I am an open book to those who know how to truly read.
Kat’s Questions For Me:
What is your favourite colour and why?
I don’t have a specific favourite colour, although l wear a lot of blue, but for me blue is a comfortable colour to attire yourself with, it’s practical. I love vibrant colours so reds, pinks, the right shades of green and some purples. But then l also love more earthy colours such as browns, khakis and forest greens and russets. No favourite colour at all, but l do detest whites!
Do you have any irrational fears? If so, what is your biggest?
Having my throat cut. Many years ago, l accidentally cut my throat, and l scared myself so much that for many years l wore a leather neck collar and more so during my dark depression when l used to think about cutting it for good.
What is your least favourite smell?
Durian Fruit – when l lived in Malaysia in the 60’s this fruit was sold on stalls in the streets, it reeked of old socks, vomit and dog shit on a good day after the monny** had fallen, but on a hot sunny day it was far, far and far worse and yet when l gathered up the courage to eat it, it was actually really lovely!
Would you rather be the sun or the moon and why?
What an interesting question Kat? Well on the reverse side of the planet l will have to answer in a particular way, the Moon, because l am already a Son 🙂
What skill do you have that’s most beneficial to you, either personally or professionally?
I guess it would have to be my adapatability.
My Nominations are as Follows:
Amberley Griffin – Fuck the Lemonade
Josh – The jaguar and It’s Allies
Laina Eartharcher – The Silent Wave
Britchy – Bitchin’ in the Kitchen – yes l know you have just done one – ‘stop bitchin!’
Tales from the Mind of Kristian
My Questions To My Nominees Are:
If life was measured by a piece of string, how long would Infinity be?
What do butterflies get in their stomach when they’re nervous?
Is it illegal to kill an ant?
Which ‘urban legend’ scares you the most?
Of the following films, which would you say is the most fitting to be classed as totally Mysterious and more importantly … why?
Seven
Gone Girl
Eyes Wide Shut
Zodiac
Mulholland Drive
The Da Vinci Code
Orphan
Basic Instinct
It’s all a mystery you know!
If you see your name in the list and l haven’t got to you yet, panic not – that’s all l am saying!
I love getting these awards from you because you ask such fun questions!
I try 🙂 Thank you.
I’ve heard before that durian tastes better than it smells, but have never wanted to get close enough to find out…
You are wise Ashley, just trust me on this. Our gardener in Malaysia introduced it to me and as a youngster l thought l was going to die as it neared me like the Black death! But l had a little bit then l was addicted!!
Very scary about throat 🤐😱
Congrats 🎉
Thanks Ray.
Yes it was. a seriously scary time indeed.
Wow, Thank you for nominating me. Your answers and your questions are excellent, very quirky. I will try to answer them in a sufficiently quirky fashion 😉
Grand stuff Kristian and my pleasure 🙂
Excellent 🙂
Thanks Bloke! I liked your son/Sun pun 🙂
Oh well done Sir, l thought you might pick that up 🙂
I’m always on the lookout for puns!
🙂 There were two in fact, one was cryptic, l was quite chuffed in truth 🙂
Thank-you so much for nominating me! Your questions are so cool! 😁
🙂 Thank you
Whoa with the knife! And my favorite story is about the durian. Congratulations, once again!
I know, oh you must try it if you can get past the stench and the desire to throw up in your own mouth … 🙂 LOL!!
Lol I’ve been wanting to try it!
Well there we go Barb, plastic mouth bags at the ready – go for it.
😂
Dear Rory,
I AM so very grateful for your nomination, but I feel I must decline.
The Blog, guidelinesweb, belongs to The Grandmothers’. It’s purpose is to share their messages with those that find them helpful.
If you notice, there is nothing on the Blog except the messages. This is intentional, in order to focus on the material. If I start adding any extra little thing, pretty soon it would just be another Blog, all cluttered with side bar trivia, distracting from the whole purpose it is designed to fill.
I do hope you understand and can feel the appreciation from my HEART for your consideration.
In Love and Gratitude,
Betty
I’m enjoying your politics 😉
Ah Madam Lola of the Lasagne! Greetings!
Thank you, way safer and way more important in my eyes.
🙂
I liked the Son pun too! And yes, Durian fruit has a hideous smell! A much loved cousin we stay with on the far north coast of NSW has one growing in his amazing exotic tree and bamboo garden. I’d never heard of them previously.
Have you tried the fruit yet Kat?
Yes I have but must admit I didn’t find it palatable!
Wow, l loved it, once l got over the vomit sensation 🙂
I was told it can take some getting used to but I don’t have that determination with foods lol.
You’ll be fine ……. or ….y ou’ll throw up a kind of Russian roulette lol!
Hahaha, true!
Thank you for your kind words and recommendation too Rory <3
Pleasure Kat 🙂
🙂 Truly excellent and yes, still sniggering!
🙂
Superb 🙂
