My name is Sandy and l have chosen to answer these questions as Oscar is too young, but more importantly – because it’s my house!
A] Personal Details

Sandy and Oscar
2] Your 2 Leggeds Names?
Daddy & Mummy

Of course I do and control young Oscar!
6] Do you live inside or outside the house?
Inside far too much of a lady to live outside.
7] Where about in the world do you live?
B] Exercise/Play Time/Adventuring
8] How often do you take your 2 leggeds for a walk?
Yes daily but it’s in fields so we have freedom to run.
9] Do you vary the walks or trek the same route every day?
Mostly in the same area
10] Do your 2 leggeds allow you to talk to other K9’s on your walks or do they huff and puff behind you and urge you to hurry along?
When we go to other places they let me talk if I want to
11] Are you allowed to do ‘stuff’ on your walks freely?
We are very lucky where we live so are allowed to run & play. But if we come back after rolling in fun stuff Dad doesn’t like it and then we have to have a shower.
12] Have your 2 leggeds ever embarrassed you? If so how?
Well as a lady I rarely do anything wrong but young Oscar keeps shoving his nose in other dogs bits only natural really but Dad keeps telling Oscar to get his nose out of that dogs arse! How embarrassing is that!
13] Do your 2 leggeds expect you to fetch the ball/toy every time during soft/hard play?
They might expect it but they don’t get it! They have two legs why can’t they get it. However Oscar does at the moment but I’m trying to teach him how to train our two legged family
* Do you have favourite toys and if so what are they?
Anything Daddy or Mummy says we can’t have! But we do have our own toys and we share them.
14] Are you loved every day?
Yes by the pawfull
Yes especially on my belly and Oscar has a spot just behind his left ear
All the time.
Yes when I’m not on lookout duty
Made to feel special?
Every day we are both very lucky
15] Do your 2 leggeds take you away on holidays with them?
I have been but since daddy now can’t walk properly we haven’t been.
16] Do you get to pick where you go if they do?
They did discuss it with me as they said they would only go somewhere where I was allowed.
17] Are you given treats? Too few or just right? What are your favourites?
Yes but never enough! And cheesy bites.
18] Are you fed a nutritional diet?
Yes Daddy says our food is very important.
19] Is your food moist or dry or both or even the raw meat diet?
Oscar has just dried I obviously have dried during the day and moist for my evening dinner.
20] Do you enjoy it or is it boring?
Oh we enjoy it.
21] Do you eat it every day, or sometimes refuse to?
Most days unless my 2 legged family have a roast dinner then obviously we are invited.
22] Are you allowed to sample your 2 leggeds food?
23] Do you eat your food when you are expected to, or when you wish to?
No we have set meal time.
D] Your Personal K9 Stuff
24] Do you have a favourite piece of 2 legged clothing and if so, do they know?
I don’t but Oscar does and yes they know but he’s getting good at hiding it!
25] Go on be a Devil – tell us what it is ….?
Daddy’s socks! Ugh disgusting if you ask me.
26] Do you deliberately play up at times, just to annoy or worry the 2 leggeds?
But of course it’s our duty to.
27] Do you have a bed?
I most certainly do and I allow daddy to sleep in it too. Oscar has a day bed.
28] If so, do you sleep in your bed, or their bed, or the couch or all three and more?
I sleep with Daddy as he can’t get upstairs so had a room built downstairs for us. Oscar sleeps in Mummies bed at night and furniture or his bed during the day.
29] How much alone time or ‘just you’ time do you have?
I have my watch dog duties during the day so stay upstairs to warn Daddy of anything moving in the track. But when Mummy comes home I’m with Daddy so get plenty of me time. Oscar doesn’t seem to enjoy it much and wants to be with Daddy when Mummy is out and then Mummy when she comes home.
30] Do your 2 leggeds make you dress up?
NO!! For goodness sake!
* Pose for pictures?
No they have to take them when we decide to stop playing or asleep.
31] Do you actually enjoy it or simply tolerate it because it appears to please them?
32] Do you have a friendly vet?
Daddy says she’s rather “fit” Mummy says she’s good but I don’t like going there.
33] What would be your perfect day?
As a lady it used to be when Daddy could walk properly we used to walk for miles across country and I was always out with him. Now, have a lay in then a walk across the fields down to the brook play with Oscar and get him messy so Daddy tells him off, have some lunch and lay in front the fire.
In spite of everything … the manipulations and the training you must subject them to – are they happy that you are there to mentor for them?
Yes they really are Daddy tells us he couldn’t be without us!
Finally, in your own words tell us something about both you and your 2 leggeds that the questions haven’t touched on or asked about – something unique …
We are a very loving family 2 and 4 legged, as a watch dog I have a very important role due to Daddy not being his best also when he falls which is a lot I go to him and won’t leave him or allow anyone near him unless he says it’s okay. I’m not an aggressive dog by any means that is until Daddy is ill, Oscar needs some serious training in this dept. as he loves everyone all the time so I have my work cut out.
My genuine thanks to Sandy & Oscar for taking part in our K9 Questionnaire …… and let us not forget their Daddy and Mummy as well. It’s all about family.
