The Truly Inspired Series

1] Blog Name

Timeless Classics

I’m also a writer for Success Inspirers World

2] Genre

Poetry, quotations, the occasional review

3] Blog Age

2 months, 3500 views, 300 followers!

3] At what age did you start to write and what was your motivation for doing so?

I was nine years old when I was shown the notebook of an older pupil in my school who wrote poetry. That did it.

4] Does writing/creativity come naturally to you or do you struggle to invent something inspirational each day/week/month?

‘Bout like breathing

5] How prolific are you in your craft?

Writing presently more than one poem a day

6] Are your writings displayed elsewhere or just WordPress? If so where?

In isolated publications worldwide, chapbook out of old North Beach, SF. Nothing still in print. I do also have this web book on homelessness: The New Holocaust: Homelessness in America and What We Can Do About It that’s been out for a couple of years now. I was honoured by extensive reviews by both Rebelle Society and Namaste Publications, and I hope it has managed to do a little good in the thirty six countries in which it’s being read.

7] Do you ever suffer from writers/creators block? How do you combat it?

Not anymore. For those who wish to know more, however, I did a unit on this subject in my artist in residencies, and have developed some techniques with regard to it — write to me about it and I’ll respond.

8] What is your preferred creative expressive form? [Writing/photography/poetry/artistry/illustration/design/musical composition]

Poetry/plays/reviews/quotational series/essays ‘n articles, musical compositions and songs — but for Timeless Classics, just poetry and quotes.

9] How do you arrive at your decision to write/create/invent about what you have chosen as a subject for the piece/s?

Can’t help myself

10] Do you need an ambience to work with, such as music, quiet, scented candles, yoga, exercise, reading, film or something else?

Silence and weed

11] What helps you to create your content? [People/conversation/family/health/magazines/newspapers/controversy/funny moments/life experiences]

Every damn thing

12] Is your content driven by your journey or your story, or by the journeys and stories of others?

It’s all channelled direct.

13] Are there any specific things which enable your creative juices to flow more steadily? [Overtired/insomnia/mental health/eating/drinking/smoking/surrounded by colour/abstract thoughts and thinking]

All of the above

14] How long from start to finish would/can your content take you to complete?

An average Shakespearean sonnet completes itself in five to fifteen minutes

15] Are you pleased with your finished pieces?

How do you feel when you receive acknowledgement from another?

A great sense of relief that it has succeeded in doing someone some good

Finally, what advice would you award writers or creators looking to express them selves and to then display their works to the world?

Eat, sleep, drink and breathe your passion. All else is secondary

My sincere thanks to Timeless Classic for sharing her observations and inspirations for her writing here today.
